Homestay in Bukchon Hanok Village
Bukchon Hanok Village is located a short walk away from Insadong, Samcheongdong, and Gyeongbokgung Palace. However, this village has no high buildings, and most buildings are in the form of a hanok, recreating the traditional Korean lifestyle experience for visitors. Also located nearby Bukchon Hanok Village is the Jungang High School, which served as the film location for the drama ‘Winter Sonata’, thereby attracting many ‘Winter Sonata’ fans.
The Hanok Guesthouse has been renovated into a Hanok (a traditional Korean house). Although the rooms are smaller than other guesthouses, and visitors have to share the bathrooms, there is a quaint garden and the beautifully curved tiles used to build the Hanok that offers an experience unlike other guesthouses. Visitors not only get to relax and sleep, but also get to experience the traditional culture of Hanok.
